Proudly doubling down on General Intuition in $220m round

Our AI told us to double down on General Intuition, so we did

Well, not literally. But when a portfolio company keeps compounding, the model doesn't need to be very smart to tell you what to do next.

General Intuition has raised $220M at a $6.2B valuation, and we're proud to have backed the team again in this round alongside Valor Equity Partners, Atreides, 776, Point72, Khosla Ventures, and General Catalyst.

Why we keep coming back

GI is building an entirely new class of foundation models, trained on billions of action-labeled videos, capable of acting in real time in environments they've never seen before. The scale is the story here: leading foundation models in robotics and world models today train on less than 1% of the action data GI has access to, thanks to its relationship with Medal, currently the fastest-growing company in games and on track for 3 billion video uploads a year.

That data gives GI something hard to replicate. On any given day, they see more accidents in simulation than happen across the entire United States. At any moment, more people are playing with a steering wheel in-game than Waymo has cars on the road. That density of edge cases is exactly what you need to build General Agents and World Models capable of handling the unpredictable.

The underlying insight is simple: humans play video games and (tele)operate robots using the same inputs and outputs, vision and controller actions. GI trains directly on the largest dataset of these, the same approach Tesla took with FSD, but across a far broader range of actions and environments. What comes out the other end is a model with autonomy across a wide range of environments, real world included.

What's next

GI is opening up the waitlist for partners who want early access to the models, and scaling the team in New York and Europe. If you're a top researcher or engineer who wants to work on this, they want to hear from you.

We backed GI in the last two rounds too, and this one only sharpens our conviction. Congratulations to the whole team.
